--NO PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE--

It seems like it will be able to beat anything. It has those massive gauss cannons that can destroy heavies and all of those drones will deal with everything else, warrior and downward. It cant go in without support because it has no chance against planes but if there are two of them with a bit of support (and minesweepers) it would be very powerful. As I say though, that is purely from smashing my own stuff with them.

--VERY POSITIVE PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE--

You'll have to get rid of your thoughts sending it into the battlefield alone. But it can totally survive 1 stiletto (2nd will emp it). Also it needs 2 skuttles to be countered. It's shield is 10500 strength and drones are devastating. But yet again it's support strider and will die without good support from smaller units. Currently it's best strider ever, between small striders and bantha.

Also it's very vulnerable with proper AA (drones bite) support when it retreats, since it can't attack anything unless it looks at it with it's face.

Also it's D-gun will kill allies, but can lift almost any unit in melee.

So far i've mostly seen people use funnelweb as a dante. It doesn't work like that (much slower, can't fire on retreat, much less raw dps).

Only exception was when it functioned as a defensive support in a badly outnumbered situation, all with the flea screens and such. That was fantastic.

Imho it is best used together with Aspises and Felons.
Felons protect it from skuttles etc. Funnelweb's high shield charge means Felons can deal much more damage before shields run low. The drones slow stuff with their disruptors so it cant escape from the Felons etc.

its a great unit when you have units to protect it and work together with it.

kind of acts like a land based reef, on that point:
give it an antinuke like the reef has (also conveniently, its a land based mobile anti, as most people have been demanding.)

things to fix:

1 funels railguns need some firining arks(50deg?), as it is the funnelweb can't shoot most units because it is constantly trying to turn

2 make drones posible to controll, or fix their ai, they will often start orbiting a random dead unit corpse or fly off to never return (most common cause of funnel deaths was drones going AWOL)

It kinda can't shoot missiles from anywhere, so it would need tweaks to the model.

6k metal for mobile anti-nuke?
I'd say no.

How about 3k metal for mobile anti-nuke immune to most weapons and with a silo attached?

I just want to see the model used.

Turned me into bacon in like two seconds, will have to think of possible ground countertactics. What I mostly dislike is that drones easily detect snipers and even when sniper recloaks and changes position, it gets detected again by the drone because of "shadow memory" tracking. Even when the drone lost his contact like 15 secs ago, it gets chased to new location while cloaked, and gets touched/hit by the drone again.

It's water only, isn't it? But fine then. If you put it like this. It's just everyone will spam them then.

Yes, and funnelweb isn't amphibious. Leviathan is already hilariously cost-effective as an anti, since an immobile uncloakable structure of the ground anni costs just as much as leviathan, and that's even without having a silo bolted on top.

Of course, ZK sea is generally a wreck, so ground should not attempt to emulate that in any case.

Actually I think this was a good decision, the guns are still powerful against statics and large groups of units but allow more agile units to outmanoeuvre it if unsupported, we have enough raw damage striders for now, something different is nice

P.S. can it board surfboat?

Leviathan is not that cost-effective as an anti - it has like half or less of the coverage of normal anti. It only works because it is hidden.
Reef of the other hand... now this is cost-effective.

So I think FunnelWeb with an anti range of Leviathan would be ok. It would only protect its surrounding army because everything further could be killed by nuke splash. And for 6000M it wouln't really be worth making for anti only.
