Without wishing to be critical - as putting up cash to encourage all our vets to come home and turn their 10,000 hours of ZK into somthing that actually pays the rent is a very noble gesture - I believe this would be a lot more interesting to most people if there was no twist. I lost interest after reading this for example. The game is interesting enough in its own right - if you want varied games I'd suggest pushing it via an interesting map pool, interesting start positions on contemporary maps, or a simple interesting quirk like a mod option making terraform free etc

this is intriguing but i tend to agree with ivory. the twist is a bit too twisty. it also sounds like the defender is at a huge advantage in that sheme, and either way, it is difficult to tell beforehand how this will work out.

FFA with a special gadget that tells everyone who the player with the highest income is at the moment.

Survival time sounds like an exploitable idea. It promotes things like hiding a flea or a cloaky con somewhere in the corner to prolong the game. Remember that in FFA you won't get revealed as long as there are 3 or more teams.

* loss condition is when you have no constructors or factories (not counting nanoframes or Caretaker).

Make a PR with your loss condition. It sounds like a fairly general condition. I think I could restate your condition as losing when you have no constructors or factories (not counting nanoframes or Caretaker).

AUrankAdminGoogleFrog in general FFA, a stray flea can make a significant difference. For example yesterday, I could call out USrankFealthas building a starlight in my ex-base. (Whether this actually changed the outcome is debatable)

Edith says that if it was supposed to just be a modoption it would ofc not be a problem.

Setoptions will also affect the defender player. Also why are you blocking factories but not Athena? Allowing Athena is approximately the same as allowing factories but there is less unit variety.

restricting the attackers delays the attackers costing them time, unit tech and 600 metal allowing an edge for the 'defender' player who can place factory spam cons and rapidly expand with a full set of units

they will need to be attacked by 11 other players or they will win.. i chose this because it will make killing the defender harder forcing the 'attackers' to not solely prioritize ffa and to cooperate or loose the cash..

enemies still benefit keeping a defense and striking a neighbor but ceasefires could occur.


does the building restriction also prevent a factory plop? is there a way to set options for a player or to exclude a player from unit restriction?

i would prefer to just have all players except the defender un-able to fac plop.. and anyone be able to build anything

Per-player facplop is also a reasonable PR. Perhaps it could be a list of names of players who do not get facplop (with the list empty by default).
