Fraps: http://www.fraps.com/. Cheaper, simpler to set up, but harder to record own voice with and to use recording for other tools.

or

DXtory: http://www.dxtory.com/v2-home-en.html. Slightly more expensive, trickier to set up, but allows you to do a lot more with the video captured, like pipe it to streaming software.

For streaming, I use XSplit: http://www.xsplit.com/, but Open Broadcaster Software is free and apparently better (I haven't tested yet since I'm in the middle of streaming tournament replays for Achron): http://obsproject.com/

On Linux, there is Kazam, which now works great.

Spring also has a built in video recording option that records frame by frame, so you won't end up with any stutters/jumps. I can't remember the hotkey, you should probably check the spring forum for that.

for Linux I can recommend glc. I tried myself. But I can't set super graphic its too laggy to record and with normal qulatiy it just makes no sense I think.

On Windows, MSI Afterburner has a good, free, video capture feature similar to Fraps.

it was made with ctrl+shift + f10 since my pc is slow. With internal recorder you can record at highest quality but at slower framerate for example this was recorded at ~2 fps.

Only one problem if you want game sounds you must use lichos camera recorder then replay same thing at least 3 times. 1 for recording camera path 1 for video recording another for audio recording (since game's audio differs wherever you are). And later on you must sync things.

@[RD]Godde: Don't worry, it was a spur of the moment thing from one of the newer players that happened last weekend. It seems like there will probably be more of these small tournaments in the future.

DErankXivender: Are you planning to record for the sake of making neat trailer-esque videos like the one you linked, or were you planning to commentate/voice-over the videos.
