I think if you stated its new role, explained how it wouldn't overlap with existing AA (or, if it did, why it'd be okay), gave us some (at least vague) idea what weight you mean by "mini", described how its current role can be filled in by existing units, and generally put in at least some effort (other than coming up with the idea) into it, then maybe it wouldn't look extremely half-assed and actually be worth considering.

We don't have a trident type AA for ground. I think it be a good alternate to the current hacksaw.

Shorter range version of sustained damage AA is already razor, though. If you really can't live without missiles then missile tower.

I would like to see an AA shotgun tower instead of hacksaw. Lots of damage on a single target or spread damage on several targets, with long reload time. Specifically to deal with bombers, but not another boring missile.

because we need 9001 turrets all with the same weight and role and because prince says so

Oh that reminds me of some numbers:
Zero-K has 16 defensive structures. This is not counting jammer, anti, behe and superweapons.
-> ZK has more defensive structures as other games have buildings per faction. (sc(2) anyone?)

5 of these structures can only target air units.
-> One of ZKs earliest design goals was to get rid of artificial target limitations.

ZK has a total of 16 units (mobile+static) that can only target air units.
-> There's 19 buildable air units. Not counting drones. Soon we will have more AA units than air units.

Big damage, long reload. This is exactly what hacksaw does.

So does a cluster of a few Defenders: high damage, long reload past the initial 3 shots, and they're flex to boot.
