In older version the caretaker is an automatic builder and show with a line who he is working. In the new version caretaker must be manual adjusting like "P" and is it no seeing his working. Thats is no good to play. I have no fun to play this game with so configurated caretaker.

There should be a setting through the menu to control this. By default caretakers will automatically work so I think something has happened to your settings.

you might have done this: after you give it a command, e.g. guard(support) a fac or repair a single unitc , it does only this and ignores everything else.

Press F11 and make sure Auto Patrol Nanos (should be under Units, or use the search function) is on.

Hit escape and look in the game menu for a slider for auto patrolling nanos. Make sure the slider isn't all the way to the left.
