Games in 1v1 room affects team elo?

Today I played (and lost) two 1v1 games in the room titled "1v1: Newbies welcome!" and played no other games.

At the beginning of the day, I had 1844 team elo as seen in the top 50 team players list. After those two games, it is now 1813.

i think it is not "team elo" but "overall elo" (also for ffa etc)

So you're saying that "team elo" is a misnomer? The team elo shown in the top 50 team player list is overall elo, including 1v1 elo?

Okay, that's very misleading then. Can we change the name to say "overall elo" or "total elo" or something?

And can anyone confirm that a hidden "team elo" is used for balancing team games, and not the displayed overall elo?

Wait, so then how is team elo calculated (as in, what influences it)? I'm #26 on 1v1 and unlisted in "team" elo. I also played less than 5 team games in total. If there's no separate team elo how does it work then?

It calculates elo from all your games.

Oh right, i just noticed the elo of the #50 player being way higher for team than for 1v1. That explains it.

Okay, I have nothing against changing it myself, but don't you think this change is a bit too trivial to justify giving someone access like that? Can't someone else who already has access fix this? If it were a bigger job, then I'd just go along.

It would make way more sense for team elo to be team elo and not have a 1v1 elo vs an everything elo.

if you add "teamgames only" elo, then ffa fall into no category.
Thus would require 3 elos, a bit much maybe?

imo:
1v1-elo: counts only 1v1 games (orly)
everything-else-elo: counts all games but NOT 1v1

If currently everything-elo really also includes 1v1, that would explain why 1v1-elo and everything-elo are more similiar than was expected.

everything else elo would also be good. But we need something to display in lobby so here is an idea:

1v1 elo: Only affected by 1v1.
Team elo: Only affected by Team.
Everything elo: Affected by everything.

1v1 and teams elo is used to balance 1v1 and teams respectively. Everything which does not fit into those categories is balanced with everything elo. For example games with 1 team, 3 or more teams, games with bots present.
