Some of you may be aware of the Greenlight promotion happening on steam right now. I was wondering whether there was any interest in putting Zero-K up there, and also if there was enough support, do I have permission to do so, and also to use any resources like trailers and screenshots in the process.

We still have this bad feeling after 0k official trailer, these screenshots are just bad. Such a thing should contain walking swarms of glaives, firing annihilator on hill, flying shadows in formation, one good-looking strider and firing tremor in background.

When all shit fires in small picture it becomes shit. Actually perfect screenshot is fight going on and 1 unit is close and detailed. Look at gallery those everything fires sreenshots in small resolution look like soup.

We imagine possible reactions to this picture. "Hmm, nice lazor... And some small units, meh"

We should have all the propper logos and branding etc... For example they want a large thumbnail for the browsing area and choosing that will be important.

+1 on the overview shot. Ask knorke, he knows how to make those really good

Could people post any screenshots they want me to include in this thread? I'll try and include as many as possible. Also, are there any videos that I should include other than the trailer? And should I just use the Zero-K logo for the thumbnail? I probably wont actually put it up for a while, as I'd like to get the best quality screenshots and such before doing so.

Make a picture that says "Physics RTS" and have a unit (Glaive? Zeus?) tumbling through the air (maybe after an explosion)

I wouldn't highlight physics, sounds frustrating. What are simple positively-loaded words to describe ZK? I can only think of phrases; "lots of options", "free but not in the crappy/evil way", "aims for smart units", "large battles which aren't bad".

Physics sounds awful. There is no much physics and it doesnt play any major part if you mention physics people will think that it is some kind of real physics game. For me open source sounds cool (Yes I m using linux) maybe for most "typical gamers" free(do they even know difference free vs open source?) game means crappy game. At least mention in description that it is open source and free and runs on linux you will attract moders or something... Think cooperate win.

I also recommend adding some screenshots from real online battles to show off how many players can play or some remarks like "attack from here ok?" "wasted golly" or something so people who watch those screenshots will know that it is really played and screenshots are not just pretty. Unfortunately I dont have any interesting screenshots in my folder :/ Also its really worth mentioning chicken defence its really fun. http://postimage.org/image/3uwqfxc4l/ everything is possible! http://postimage.org/image/b39j57p9d/ <-- something like this with remarks and UI and real game just prettier(not on lowest settings)?

Saktoth your last image is quite good. You should put a couple of more zoomed out images in there too because otherwise it looks like some kind of 3rd person view FPS.

Er that's an oxymoron but you know what I mean maybe

How about a list of good games, like planetwars, with lots of chatter? Anyone know a few replays that I, or anyone, could go through and capture some good screens/footage?
