Warpy V3, now with fixes and mapoptions, for 6v6 to 8v8 players. A left v right map with a lot of color coded warpgates! Have fun. Made by [teh]BaNa, lua fix by BrainDamage, lua originally by knorke many thanks to Beherith, Smoth, Sirarturi and Knorke!

Played v2, but figured Id post it here since opinions wouldn't really change. I have to say this map is rather different and cool. Very mountainous and the warp gates make for interesting gameplay both horizontal(where they are shortcuts between sides), and vertical(where teams in some ways are devided between sides and an unprotected gate can spell sneak attacks).

You can unfeature it. The warp gates are a very surprising feature for the newbie that hasnt played it yet and the game usually ends with:
1) incredible amount of porc around the warp gates (I saw one gate with no less than 3 DDMs around it)
2) who can build most silencers / protectors first (because the warp gates are porced up and the water gap is nearly impassible)
3) random bertha and missile silo shelling to no useful effect since you cannot really scout
4) even sending in a bantha through a warp gate is a big mistake. It died in less than 2 minutes.
So, whoever lives long enough to build starlight / zenith wins.

And yes, we saw some nice ploys, such as building a singularity right on top of a warp gate. When it completes it is warped over, where it will explode like a minor nuke. And even that doesnt cut it. Porcy hell hole shit map.

If anything, this map is even worse than epic shore.

I haven't played this one - how well does it present the portals? iirc, springie doesn't autopick maps that are featured and marked special, and this is definitely a special map. See hotstepper for a good example of a featured special.

I mostly agree with gretchen... and I'll add that portals gets hard to see after major explosions (darkened land). Portals should also prevent units who went through from coming back for a few seconds, because after you sent dirtbags that created pikes at destination portal, units you send will try to get around and may come back instantly.
