That was a pretty close fight Deinfreund.
I think the deciding factor may have been:
1) Ultra building windgens instead of solars at the start - I noticed his energy was much higher than yours at the same point
2) the switch to sniper may have been too early especially since he is able to spam fleas to counter them. Maybe the metal would have been better spent on something else like scythes to chop up his riots
But let's imagine your first glaive had gotten past the venom and into his base - and it nearly did. Might have completely changed the game. Also for a while his comm was really low on life and it seems to me you could have jumped in and killed it.
That all said, it's easy to sound wise when not in the thick of the game and both of you are far better players than I.
