I think it's worth to have people think about the bug before going straight to github with it(unlike me). Having the reports here in the forum makes them more visible for others who might have a similar issue and allows for a more open discussion when it comes to design decisions. In this case for example, the issue would've either been closed instantly or marked as design decision(unlikely). I'd consider github more suitable as a to do list of clearly defined problems/tasks as well as the discussion of implementation specific details.
