May I point out that despite I see "new" players everyday, none ever seem to post in this forum and keep to themselves.

I'm not sure if it just because they already know how to play the game and so don't go to the forum, but could it be that they do not have a "Forum" button then can press, since "Home" makes it look like it will transport you to menu.

Remember I have been on forums as well, and lots of newbies post there, why not here?

Depending on the community, many people don't post in game forums. That's normal. Our community is so small, that even if we had noobs posting at an average rate, they'd likely not be very represented.

Why do so many old-timers post here while noobs don't? Well, investment in the game would predict both posting in forums and audience retention. Hence, the ones that stay tend to also be the ones that post.

Thats not strange at all. For how many games have you ever bothered to go to their forums, or to their website at all?
Now I'm always for making this game easier to get into, so if their was a readily available forum button in chobby we could have a "say hi" thread for newbies to show that we are in fact friendly etc. Some times they say hi in the chat but often it is filled with deep discussions of balance.

I only made my first post two years after I started playing Zero-K and only started taking a look at the forum after around 1 year I started playing it. I just wasn't very invested into the game very much nor I did feel like I had anything meaningful to contribute into the discussion.

It may also be because some people don't care about the games' community at large. I don't go look up forums of every game I play. I just want to play the game itself you know.

In many games, only a small portion of the players bother to read/write the forum.
This game is small,so it may be experiencing a high bounce rate- people install the game, but don't like it,don't understand it, or think there's too few players.
The people who have stuck around for a while will probably consider it worth getting involved in the game's discussion and can participate in the community memes and such.

Devs haven't done anything much to chobby, but Hover meta is everywhere, if that's what you mean.
