Jugglenaut is a joke, maybe change its 2 Heavy Laser Blaster for 2 Pyro Flamethrower.

So enemy will fear it, and not call you a noob if you build one...

P.S.: Do not change Attractive Gravity guns.

I'm not sure if flamethrowers would work, but I do agree that Jug needs some kind of change so it can actually make cost (when I made it, it dies without dealing much damage)

let its gravity guns tear buildings out of the ground

You have to support your heavy units. It's laser guns have good range for burning down porc but it's a goner if you don't support it.

Yeah it is a joke, look at its name! The problem is that the engine devs keep changing the way impulse works, and we still don't have complete control over the map gravity, which can determine how effective these weapons are.

It isn't very cost effective at the moment. I suppose there is no reason not to buff it so that it is actually OK with the current impulse/collision regime, but it will still vary heavily by map and behave oddly some of the time and have very unreliable damage.

Probably give it heat-rays so that it does more damage at close range, since it has the attractive gravity.

Or give it a Zenith-type weapon flavoured as gravity guns throwing debris at stuff.

Basically I think having its only damage come from boring lasers is pretty awful.

Heat rays would be in improvement. Or just cut the cost down.

What about adding on a beefed up outlaw impulse?

It is very good vs swarms of light stuff. At least it was when I last checked.

How it ends with jugglenaut.

"Hey jugglenaut is coming!" all forces goes at it everything shoots at it jugglenaut dies without doing anything.

I dont know if it does, but it really could have crush ability at least engine supports now, it could walk over and crush structures. It would really make sense since it is damn slow and big.

Now I guess you could trap it with llt cage = completely useless against structures.

Let it rip structuures from the ground and throw them away too!

I think few Pillager would stop it from pushing.

@Dogma
An outlaw pulse weapon would be nice.

Here's an idea. If we're discussing the gravity beams and Outlaw pulses, why not add an ability for it? Say, a medium-sized Outlaw pulse that, instead of slowing, pushes the units outwards from it?
This wouldn't affect larger units, but the smaller ones, like the Glaive, Scorcher and Thugs would be sent into an arc in the air and flying off a few feet before crashing down for that sweet, sweet Fall Damage. (And, more importantly, to keep those irritating buggers away from the mighty Jugglenaut)

I'm thinking that this could either be around the Jugglenaut, or at a nearby targeted location.

...

TL;DR: Outlaw Pulse ability that pushes small units outwards from it, could either be a targeted ability, or activated around it.
Keep the gravity beams for single, larger units.

It's meant to be a unit destroyer, that is the idea behind the impulse. It's a very specialized unit. There are few riot units with this much HP, it's weapon is what makes it a riot since they simply do nothing to statics (though it -can- still laser things to death).

If it rips up buildings it is... what, just another boring mech. Maybe it could have an activable weapon (all mechs need activable weapons) that does this (quants old anti-grav) and if it CAN actually rip up a structure from the ground and use it as a projectile that would be COOL as shit (imagine a factory flying out of the sky and exploding amid your shield-ball)- but not as a primary ability.

The problem is really just that it just isn't very good with its current stats.

gravity attraction + heatray. perfect combination. who needs lasers?

Sak, I like your specially ability idea. It reminds me of the Gravity Gun from HL2, how you can pick up objects and throw them at enemies.

I think an activated weapon that emits a nuke sized outlaw-pulse w/ massive impulse would be pretty lulz

It seems to be an antiwarmer for the Det and the Bantha, but the sheer number of units it takes to overwhelm the Det and the Bantha is a pretty rare sight.

Make it so, number one.
