Fac build order and [alt] key for the first units

Hello brave developers !

It's not really a bug but something is not working the way I expected it to work.

Here is the situation: I make a fac, I set "loop the production", nothing in queue. Then I add 1 cons with the alt key and 1 raider without alt key.

What I expected is that the cons would be produced and then removed from the queue. But it stays in it and is produced in loop with the raider.

Is this easily modifiable ?

That looks like a bug to me.

You could just que the raider first and add the con while raider is building. The con will then be built I think.

It is not easily modifiable because the alt insertion thing is implemented by the engine but it exactly the sort of thing that a widget could do.

Well i did it many times exactly as FRrankNoobMonkey and it worked flawlessly for me. 1 Con got built and then it was continously making raiders.

Remember that doing it like that will make 1 raider and 1 con AFTER 1 raider has been done.

GBrankBrofessional is right. What I was doing exactly was:
-[alt]Adding the con
-Adding the raider
-Set to loop mode

If I do:
-Set to loop mode
-[alt]Adding the con
-Adding the raider
The the con is removed from queue, and everything work fine.

When out of Repeat mode, ALT works differently: it makes the production start immediately, cancelling current.
