The original map that was made by me was perfect the way it was. The low gravity and water made it unique with unique tactics. It had character, something unique to offer. It had unique tactical situations like flying ships and pushing units into orbit. Newtons were made powerful -- maybe even mandatory. It was a true troll map with its own little playstyle. Now you've basicly reduced it to a normal metal map, a hallow shell of its former existance. You may as well be playing Speed metal with water and without the speed.

I try to bring unique situations to Zero-K/Spring with the maps I am designing. Something different, something uniquely characteristic about the map. The low gravity and slightly soft ground made the map unique and funny.
Nothing was broken, let alone the fact this was not edited by me nor do I approve of the changes AT ALL.

After seeing it played today, the term 'fixed' is incorrect -- it is broken now. I didn't once laugh out loud or get excited. It is no longer fun. Needless to say, it was boring. It brought a tear to my eyes to see such a fun map be reduced to a polish version of speed metal.

Would someone please Remove or Rename this map to Normal Polish Flag? I dislike the term 'fixed' -- nothing was wrong with the original.

TL;DR: Please do not modify my maps' properties in the future. They are made that way for a reason. And if you do, DO NOT CALL THEM FIXED!

PS: Don't fix what isn't broken.

It is not broken, it is modified.

What you asked for: gravity 0.7 -> 130 (ie. the de facto default for Spring maps)

When did he specify releasing under GPL. Maps aren't automatically under GPL just because spring is, for more information see this thread: http://springrts.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=17847&sid=c68dfa648fad0bce7555915cc6275a70

TL;DR version: LUA, COB, BOS scripts must be GPL as they link to the engine. Other content is free to go under any compatible license.

This is why I believe it is always best to contact map authors before modifying their work. Some mappers like me (and I know beherith as well) unofficially license their maps under public domain but this can't be assumed for everyone.

I thought all maps were GPL the same as published ZK missions. My mistake.

There is a difference between low gravity and no gravity. With the zero gravity version there is no point in using normal units because newtons will throw them all off the map. With normal gravity normal units will not be useless so it will not just be an artillery vs artillery battle.

Well im over it now. Just was venting RAAAEEEGGG over how boring the map is now. Boring. Oh well. At least now know something new. Always thought it was just respectful to not edit other people's maps or ask before doing so. But since we can do whatever and get away with it... there's something that just..must be done.....

Icy Very Long run needs low gravity and negative softness...

This is a shitty map anyway. Both editions. Sorry, you're not bringing anything unique to Zero-K by making troll maps @IrishDruid.

Zero-g in Zero-K just isn't quite as amusing as in some other games.
