Hi there.

I got a problem. After latest update ZERO-K has always crash (i played on 2 machines: PC with geforce 220 (CPU: AMD 2x2.0) and laptop lenovo with geforce 240 (CPU I7 4/8x1.6) too - same problem at same time (access violation) - no clear reasons). I have no report for now because i'm at work, but anyone has problems after last update?

I was looking for solution but without results.

Are you using the latest update of ZK with spring 91.0? If so then it is bound to crash. Use 94.1 with ZK 1.1.4.4 or 91.0 with ZK 1.1.3.6.
+0 / -0
Weird. I did updates. I'll try again today. Thanks for support.

So we have to... download 1.1.3.6 for 91 to NOT crash?
+0 / -0
Yes. 1.1.4.4 is for 94.1 and 1.1.3.6 is for 91.0.

1.1.4.4 on 94.1 is freezing for me (both machines). I want to play on 1.1.3.6 but if i use voterehost or rehost then host is still on 1.1.4.4. I can't find the way to change to 1.1.3.6.

do you host by using "/msg Springiee !spawn mod=zk:stable, title=rz3i0s[CA]'s Battle"? For 1.1.3.6 you need to use:

/msg springiee !spawn mod=zk:revision:9783, title=what_you_want_to_call_it

then when in the battle, use "!setengine 91.0". You will have to rejoin your battle. That should have it running 91.0 with ZK 1.1.3.6.

thanks a lot TheSponge! I'll try tonight.

I'm using button in lobby to create new host - "host new battle" or something like that.

There's an option (in advanced opt) where i can pase that 'zk:revision:9783' - there's 'zk:stable $VERSION' for now - (i thing because i'm at work now and don't see it).

With !setengine i have no problem :)

I wasn't very clear there actually. you paste:

/msg springiee !spawn mod=zk:revision:9783, title=what_you_want_to_call_it

into any chat box in your lobby. This sends a message to springiee to create a battle on 1.1.3.6. Then in your battle you do !setengine 91.0 and then rejoin.

Understood. I'll try several ways. I had a problem to find that "9783" in list of mods.

You will have to install that revision first. Use "rapid pin zk:revision:9783" to install it.

Why does the hosting thing on ZKL-Multiplayer create only games with incompatible ZK and Spring versions? zk:stable gives me zk1.1.4.4 with spring 91.0 and zk:revision:9783 gives me spring 94.1....
+0 / -0
Say what! lol
So If I'm on Win 7 and I want to start my own game in Zero-K lobby and I want that game to be the latest release, which is ZK 1.1.4.4?

How do I do that?

Most of the games in the lobby are ZK v1.1.3.6 and spring 91.0.
But when I start my own practice game with bots I end up with ZK v1.1.4.4 and Spring 91.0. Which usually crashes at random point in game game!

So how do I create my own ZKv1.1.4.4 game?

P.S. Scrap that, it doesn't have to be ZKv1.1.4.4 game just a game that wont crash! :)

With TheSponge's posts I found seting advanced options to "zk:revision:9783" when creating a game and then in lobby chat "!setengine 91.0" gives me working games.

Yep I tried the ""!setengine 91.0" and it seems to give me like a new chat room/area but I don't know how to start a game from there, without coming back out to the lobby?

Yay I got it working with a little help from MaximilanDGeist

Start by creating a game in "Open a new battle" in the lobby,
- Click "show advanced options"
- In Spring options comment box put "zk:revision:9783"

This takes you to your game room/chat area as normal
Then in game lobby chat "!setengine 91.0" should give you a working game!

If you've set a password on your game like it did, it kicks you out of the game! But if you're quick you can probably get back to the lobby and rejoin? Else if it's gone just start another and it works fine second time.

Game was ZK v1.1.4.4 and Spring 91.0 - And it still crashed! :(

- Spring has crashed:
- Access violation

Here's a section of the stacktrace in case it's of use to yuo guys?

Game was ZK v1.1.4.4 and Spring 91.0 - And it still crashed!

ZK 1.1.4.4 was never designed to work with spring 91.0. If you use 91.0 with 1.1.4.4 it probably will crash. You have to use either spring 94.1 with ZK 1.1.4.4 or spring 91.0 with ZK 1.1.3.6. When you use "!setengine" it will kick you from the battle because it is rehosted, you can just rejoin

GBrankBusa1999 from infolog: you played at 1.1.4.4 on 91.0 engine so ZK cannot work well. When i changed engine from 94.1 to 91.0 i was on the same battleroom so... i don't know.

I done it that way:
(like you)
Start by creating a game in "Open a new battle" in the lobby,
- Click "show advanced options"
- In Spring options comment box put "zk:revision:9783"

and in room i put "!setengine 91.0"

That was all. It works for me.

Under minimap in battleroom you have KZ version and engine version. If it's Zero-K 1.1.3.6 and 91.0 you can play safety :)

ps. when you use !rehost then bot making new room and if you set password - you must to find your game in game list. Otherwise just click on bot who wrote to you and use "join room" or similar.
