Going to check this out asap...

Ok, this is really tough. Because missions ignore all your settings. I have a strange LOS/radar sight, the flashlights don't make it better, healthbars are missing (!) and icondistance is apparently infinite (read: no icons, no information when zoomed out). I felt like playing with only one hand...

Healthbars o_O You sure you didn't press one of the F keys by mistake?

Icondistance bugs out if you exit during a cutscene. Unfortunately I don't know how to fix it yet, but /disticon (num) resets it.

Press L and ; to toggle LOS/radar settings.

But none of these things should be happening, I'll try to look into it.

I did exactly nothing before the cutscene ended, and afterwards i found myself with the setup i described. I did manage to hit L afterwards to fix LOS, but i found it quite discomforting.

By the way, there's a bug where the Valhallans don't stop fighting even after you kill their comm. LAWL. (fixed next stable)

or then they just want to fight to last :)?

I confirm missing healthbars. And the complaint about flashlights making things harder. And the general night lowering visibility (though toying with bloom shader almost got it nice - but then bloom shader became as ugly as it gets, and i had to turn it off again. wish that thing worked...)

Not the missing settings though! My perverse spring-standard zoom was still in place, and there were no hotkeys to try out.

BTW spotlights can be turned off in Esc -> Settings -> Graphics -> Night.

Do they cause graphical issues of some sort, or are they just annoying?

Annoying and ugly. Removing spotlights (which i did, but via f11 menu) didn't help the healthbars, but helped with, well, spotlights.

I too tinkered a bit with the F11 menu when playing, but it's simply painful and unneeded.

I liked this mission a lot. I'm a fan of the night widget. It was cool at the intro, and added a nice unique feeling to this mission. I'm not bothered by the effects at all, and dawn came soon anyway.

I experienced no problems or bugs.

The mission itself was lots of fun. Vehicles yay! It's a pretty big map, and fighting against two opponents managed to keep me busy at times. Of course watching AIs fight each other is fun too. :)

Scouting played a role, since I didn't know what direction the Valhallans would be coming from, and where they would be expanding to. There also was a raiding game with both the V and the I, where I both killed their mexes and had to protect mine.

Once, while my vehs were much out of position, the Empire sent a very nasty blob against me, and this resulted in a frantic and fun damage control episode.

Eventually the Valhallan commander, without unit support, encountered my slashers at middle, couldn't deal with them properly, and succumbed to the salvos. After this, I was able to focus on Empire, and they soon fell to the slasher/ravagerpush as well.

IMO it's ok for the Valhallan bots to keep fighting after their boss has left - what else would they do, they're Valhallans! :)

All in all this is my second favorite Sunrise mission, right after the pilot episode. This ended up being a short mission after I got the upper hand, but until that, it was a good brawl.

CAI is kinda unpredictable, once the Valhallas stomped Empire units, they stopped all attacks on me. Plus, I have no idea how to capture that building.

Just kill everything hostile I think.

Sums up the whole campaign actually.

Also makes you think whether Ada lost her mind and is just in berserk mode shuffling trough the galaxy destroing everything on her path.

You need to place units inside the circle around the artifact, which will then fill up. Then the real fun begins and you have to defend it.
