My experience: More than half of the autostarts are good. About a quarter of them suck (that's when votes are in progress).

Autostart should be disabled. It's easy for players to start, they don't need any help.

You can stop the autostarts for a while using !postpone, though people don't always remember to do that myself included. I think they are acceptable most of the time, however I think autostarts should definitely be disabled while voting is in progress.

Make it not auto start when vote is in progress.

Make it auto start when everybody is ready AND nothing block it (like votes).

Maybe let it only auto start when nobody sayed anything in chat for about 20 or 30 seconds?

And don't bind "!start" to any lobby button please.

Why not? Writing some shit in console for absolutely new players are definitely not self explanatory.

Yeah exactly. Newbies need to learn about "!start", and not accidently ninja start games when a poll is about to pass. I'm not familiar with ZKL, but maybe you can disable the start button when a poll is active, but keep !start available.

Simply make start a poll.
If no one votes, no one is ready.

If another poll is in progress, !votestart don't work.
And bind the button to "!votestart" + remove start?

One could go back and respect the players ready or unready flag.

actually I like how it always was, !start and it starts with proper cooldown, ready unready is madness just look at BA, voting to start would be worst thing ever, but autostart is really bad if nobody is typing start there might be good reason why.

>One could go back and respect the players ready or unready flag.

This was so simple and worked really well.

I don't miss the times of "Ready up!", ringing, and votespeccing to get a game going.
