64-bit Update

The engine developers are looking to drop support for the 32-bit builds so, after some testing and profiling, this update applies the 64-bit engine to everyone with a 64-bit system. Previous attempts to do this hit bugs and performance issues, but none of those were found this time around. The 64-bit build appears to be faster and able to run larger and longer games without apparent issue. Be sure to report any if you find them.

In other news, 32-bit Linux is no longer supported.

Looks like an ATI driver issue. Try to update it. Sometimes downgrade may help but you have to know the last version that worked for sure.
Playing with the graphics params in your spingsettings.cfg may help to get closer to the issue
UseVBO = 0
LuaShaders = 0
AdvUnitShading = 0
AtiHacks = 0
DebugGL = 1

I get it. However until yesterday the program worked perfectly until this new version. I don't know if other players have also had this problem.
I will try to see the settings shown.
Thanks for the moment

Reporting such error was a good thing. I assume ATI's 32bit driver was more polished than 64bit. Hence my suggestions about where to look for a possible fix (most of springsettings options i named just degrades graphics level, and DebuGL should print more info about issues with OpenGL inside infolog).
I'm no expert in graphics/drivers, just wanted to give fast hints to solve the issue.

As you suggested UAranklamer I downloaded the latest drivers and now it works. Thanks!

The 32-bit version had the problem of not unloading after the game was exited. This got fixed for me recently, but the 64-bit version brought the problem back. Haven't had any other issues with it yet.

Does it memory leak like the Linux 64bit version did, at least at one point?
