Stuttering on the recorded video

Hello guys,

Problem solved, Don't use OBS for Zero-K. Go for better-recording programs. I personally use Radeon Re Live

Same as above

Ok, so I am starting to figure out the issues while recording Zero-K. First of all the recording programs can't detect Zero-K as a game because it has two different executables. One is for the lobby and one is for the game itself. They seem to have the same root programming and because of that, we get the conflict. When selecting a game record on Radeon Relive it gives me a bug and doesn't allow me to start the recording. I have to pick "record desktop option" in order to make it work but doing that I see it gives me a blank image.

Using OBS is also tricky because with "game capture" it throws me the reversed video you see there with the mouse cursor point in weird directions.
If I try to use the display capture the recording will stutter like hell when the game reaches a certain point (mid to endgame). It's weird that this stutter is observable only in the video, the game itself doesn't have any kind of problem.
If I go for the window capture I get a bug where:
A. I have to choose between two spring.exe executables and I don't know who is the lobby and who is the actual game
B. I have to press alt+tab in order to understand what spring.exe I have to choose but DAMN IT alt+tab is not working well in this game. I once pressed 20 times that comb and still, it didn't bring me to my desktop. Why is Zero-K so intrusive? I can't alt+tab the game? It just a simple command.
C. Even if I find out what sprin.exe I need to use by pressing Alt+tab many many times, I start the recording but when I go to the game all the video record itself it becomes null and nothing is recorded...

Problem solved...it's because of the OBS settings and incompatibility between it and Zero-K.

Try using the screen manipulation to flip itb by pulling the botttom left corner past the top right corner. I hope this works.

I have no idea why your mouse cursor is oriented wrong in your video though

I solved the problem. It seems that OBS doesn't like Zero-K and I have found a solution to record without any bugs with Re Live from ATI.

I use OBS jut fine and it works, but I don't know enough to help find any problems. Your videos with an upside down cursor was probably my solution before I gave it anyway. It's good you have found a better solution that works.

LOL I NOTICED YOU HAVE AN AMD CARD GUESS WHAT I JUST UPDATEED MY DRIVERS AND NOW OBS RECORDS Z-K UPSIDE DOWN!!!!

I went from

Driver Packaging Version 18.10.19.01-180529a-329361E-RadeonSoftwareAdrenalin

with

probably a driver from around 18.10.19

to

Radeon Software Edition
Adrenalin 2019

with

Radeon Software Version
19.5.2

It could also have been an OpenGL update or something, I let the automated system do updates.

Anyway, giving it a 2nd look, I'm able to fix the problem by adjusting the properties of my source. I capture Z-K with a Game Capure, so by right clicking on the source under Sources and selecting properties, ticking off 'SLI/CrossFire Capture Mode (Slow)' It captures z-k right side up with the cursor acting normally. I'm using OBS 21.1.0 64bit windows.

Trust me USrankSteel_Blue...OBS is not working.
If you want to use Radeon Relive enable the following options:
-Record Desktop-On
-Borderless Region Capture-ON
-Put what other settings you like-Microphone, FPS, Resolution, etc.

In Zero-K:
-Select resolution for both options to be "Configurable windowed:

And when the game is opened and you are on the map just Alt+Tab and press ALT+Z
When pressing ALT+Z you will have an option there that gives you "Record Region"
Just select Record Region and find Zero-K there. Once you select Zero-K the game will start recording,
