new tactics beside superweapons need to implied to the game for better suvival of noobs and give noobs special ability to defeat pro players. for instance the talk about a storage that enhances noobs so they can enjoy winning a game in teams. can be done in ffa. for instance a noob can be given 20% more in ffa for just being a noob. once he or she reaches level 30 the 20% leaves the person. another more attractive give noobs a special live discount in thinsga bout symbols and adornaments to your army. so noobs can have for a small time premium for 4 or 5 days and retrieve so they can feel a difference from a noob that doesn't get the boost. makes new players stay.

for instance new players play against kingstad and kingstad wins 3 in a row. they fight again this time the player gets 45% increase in metal in the fourth round making it possibel for new players to catch up to the old ones. that way kingstad doesn't win and must adapt the challenge and plays normal. he could still win bu the noob recieve a boost in battle will make him feel better. and someone like kingstad will liek the challenge of plying a noob with that adavntage i woulnd't mind myself let a noob have that ability it will be a challenge worthy of me and the noob player won by a spontanues boost. yes. the system needs to change so it's not so hard for players. new tactics needs arise to a noob creativity can grow.

I suck at this game, but I don't want a handicap, I just want to get good.

If you want a game where noobs can often beat pros play for example Duke nukem map. Btw there are no pro playes in this game. Fresh people beating experience has a lot of negative implications. Like people not bothering to get experience.

by definition, "noobs" are beings who are not good at the game. if you make it easier, you just create a new group of "noobs" to the point where it encompasses microorganisms. the game can be "too hard" for the average human, but being "to hard for noobs" makes no logical sense.

also being toxic towards critics is not really helpful. for me it doesn´t look like you want a constructive discussion.

I am sory but i completly dislike this idea.

Shure the idea is to convince noobs to stay and become a part of this community. And it will maybe keep them here a little bit longer.

But what would change in terms of gameplay.
1. Most noobs expand very badly. And this would even support this behavior. Because you wouldnt have to do so as hard as before.

2. Porc tactics would become more reliable. Which is the death sentence for every players future withhin this game.
(Porc is just a meassure to delay your death)

3. The average zk-player is already very bad, i dont want more people that play with tonns of arty, or big heavy units. Because that is what would happen... Ton of arty/dante spam.
Problem: these tactics work against so many players here, because of the low-average-skill-lvl That they will think they are doing it right...

So for me this is just a way to make bad tactics work... And if we are at that point. Then zk isnt a strategy game anymore from my point of view.

The simple answer to this is to not put the noobs against pros. Depending on time of day, this is pretty much already handled via matchmaker.

I'd like to take the opportunity to say that this is not wholly a terrible idea by Moleculeman. It just needs a better implementation.

Anir speaks the truth when he says that rewarding nubs like that is going to encourage bad play. And I agree that that is a bad thing.

However, it would also be cool for utter nubs to have a duel with better players in something other than a LOLSTOMP. Case in point I played a small teams game recently where there was a new player on the other team on Cold Snap. He was the only nub in a bunch of experienced players. Given that the almighty ELO / WHR was at stake, we cut him no slack. After I raided Blankmind I went on to Kodachi his base. Just as soon as he'd about recovered from that, Archetherial gave him a surprise party with six scythes. The nub ragequit calling us a bunch of cunts and to a certain extent I agree with his feelings. He'd just come to have a fun game and gotten mauled by pitbulls instead.

It might be a cool idea to experiment with the notion of giving advantage to players 3 stripes and under on a voluntary, 1v1 only basis. Sort of like giving advantage of a rook or queen in chess against a weaker player. Maybe the better player could gain a bit more elo if she gives advantage and wins?

Just a thought.

PS - it would be great if we could exclude grey 1-3 stripe players from lobpots. I just lost a lobpot in large part to a nub spamming 15 storages (no lie) and 6 energy pylons instead of supporting the advance. We were in line for a crushing win at the time :( I dont think he made a single offensive unit.

Are you planning on inflicting them on small teams instead, where they make an even bigger difference?

Or 1v1 where they have no teammates to give advice and will get relentlessly squashed until they ragequit?

Or coop/chickens where they will at best learn basic game mechanics, but will not learn how to attack?

What if for new players, the commander made speech bubbles suggesting units based on what is currently being used on the field?
Maybe suggestions to scout more, raid weakly defended areas as they are discovered, possibly even highlight areas they should take note of.

Basically just things to inform the new players, rather than give them a resource handicap which is far more exploitable.

This already exists in the game in some form, but currently it just notifies you of overflowing mass, lack of energy, and building more factories than you need.
