I still think ships are favored in this matchup.
You should always bring Cutters to suicide into the Claymores to make everything so much harder for the Hover player to micro.
With perfect micro, I guess the hover player could turn his Claymores on hold fire and target manually to counter Cutters but realistically, I think that it is not very manageable and it will also give the Ship player time to disarm the Claymores or retreating without taking any hits.

So far I have only played Ship mirrors on this map. Looking forward to when facing a competent hover players as I go ships. :)
