The Jumpbot factory page says...

It begs the question of what exactly a gimmick is. There is no page on the wiki defining it and the Jumpbot page is the only page that references the term. The dictionary terms I see for gimmick don't really fit Jumpbots in particular in my opinion.

Pretty much, just a device to give something a special quality that attracts people to it, In this case? Jumping.

Thats because gimmick describes a part of them, not jumpbots as a whole.
