With the steam version not yet being available on linux, Is it at all possible to play campaign coop with a (windows) friend on linux?

Don't quote me on this, but it might work if the Linux user runs the standalone version of ZK while having Steam running.

Did you apply for Linux on steam already? I'd love to see this properly supported. Would make the installation process so much easier and would enable multiplayer mode on Linux.

i am using steam on linux (ubuntu).

run zk via steam (and it fails to run zk with "platform not supported")
start the game from commandline (for me this is cd ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Zero-K && ./Zero-K.sh)

ZK hijacks steam's connection for login and multiplayer works. dunno about singleplayer thou.
