Hi! I have a couple of ideas for a few maps I want to try to make, but I have no clue where to start.
Is there anyone willing to help me out and point me in the right direction at least?
Thanks!

I have not created a map, but I have some knowledge of related areas. I hope someone reads this page
https://zero-k.info/mediawiki/index.php?title=Map_Creation
and adds more useful content.

These guides are incredibly outdated and definitely need to be updated, there is an ingame map editor now called Springboard which is incredibly powerful and uses an ingame UI:
http://springboard-core.readthedocs.io/en/latest/
It's a little hard to set up and I'm not expert on it (I'm a SpringMapEdit old fart) so you should ask in the discord.

Springboard comes with a standalone install now, you can pretty much just unpack and run it.
