I've been away for awhile (7 months) and have installed the game per the linux instructions. When I fire up chobby it appears to start fine. However, when I go to start a game from the website, I get an error stating that the lobby is not running. Any tips?

Can you:
1) start game, stuck as you describe,
2) make a copy of your infolog.txt, paste it to say hastebin.com and post a link here?

You need to be logged in both in site and in lobby, with the same username, for site play (on map, replay, mission) buttons to work.

There is autologin when you go from lobby to site using lobby, but I guess its broken now.

Automatic login to site works for me (with a non-steam test account) via the Home button in the top right.

I run linux as well, and constantly found issues with running Chobby.

It seemed like each time i would get it working, I would run into some new bug, or it would become problematic with a new update. such as changing springsettings.cfg, and other settings that i would have defined, only to have chobby change them all again.

As such i just use weblobby since it is Linux stable, and i haven't had any issues like the ones i had with Chobby.

But it seems like Weblobby is not in favour with the devs and they wanna kill it, noticed it wont download any of the new game/engines.

Guess i might just quit ZK, and try again in a year or two and see if it has stabilized for linux by then.

I'm also on Linux and it works relatively well for me (although there are a few bugs here and there).

I think Chobby mostly ignores springsettings.cfg and keeps configs in its own format (and IGL.lua). I haven't designed this so I can't comment, AUrankAdminGoogleFrog knows more.

Then complain/ask it gets continued development here: http://zero-k.info/Forum/Thread/23732
That thread received way too little feedback imo.

Also on Linux and since around one month Chobby is doing good (before it was more messy). But I do not do many tweaks...
