Doesn't even require login? Guess they do not care much if people abuse it...

after a bit of testing it seem they log IP address, so 1 vote per IP I think.

I voted and now it suggests I embed these in websites. They are embracing spam popularity contest voting so we may as well add it to part of the right bar. If infrastructure moves too slowly for this then I'll put it in a newspost.

Must we vote for Zk?

why does that matter? I mean there's troll everywhere. League of Legend is famous for troll, so is Teamfortress. The best thing you can do is be a good player and speak out against troll.

Note: Troll is not the player that won against you, but those who disrupt and agitated other for their own amusement

Besides, with more player the amount of troll per player would be reduced no? so step on it and get us a nomination.

No, it would go up proportionate to the total amount of active players in most cases.
JPrankgajop, just accept hard truth lol

The hard truth is you're quoting a 3+ year old comment, our community is pretty decent and heavily moderated. I've had worse worse experiences in a week of playing a MOBA than I had with ZK so far.

zeroK has the most moderators per players I have ever seen in any game. (Almost every match has at least one moderator.)
There are also reletively few played matches so the many moderators should have in theory have no problems to keep trollers in check.
How zK could even develop such troll culture?

1) Because half players never notice trolling ingame, like partially reclaimed eco buildings or even the obvious stuff like teamkill etc. Which makes trolling a bit useless imo, if peoplers are too blind to notice it..

2) Because moderators were trolls themselfs. For example Chesti and Rafelplug had long turned to the trollside but other moderators still defended them. Maybe in fear to be the next ones to be unfeatured. And other half of moderators only cares about map featuring anyway.

3) player interest moved away from "playing to win", to "playing just for fun."
From there it is a smaller step to "trolling just for fun."
A trend supported by the game development.

y'know, if the "troll culture" of ZK actually still existed to any significant degree, you'd look like less of an idiot for making that post Knorke

Your view is unrealistic because you socialize around "1v1 sea balance tests" (that all other players will still get !nextmap) and such.
Play some matches outside from the same friends or vs low-level-noob. Watch some clusterfucks and see what zeroK is like for 99% of players, especially new ones.
Read the discussions where players and devs defend that style.

If zK had a real gaming culture then the ladder would have all 50 spots filled by now. But it is populated by random newb accounts with 1 match and 1200 elmo.

Culture of zeroK is to cling to every new campaign that comes along (like this vote) but even if zK won, it would not know what to do with the fame.

So are you saying you do still play the game behind an alternate name, while waging a campaign of shitposts behind throwaway accounts on the forum to satisfy your pathetic vendetta?

The sheer hypocrisy required to still be playing the game despite your stated position on it boggles the mind...

Knorke

I think you may have misunderstood the purpose of this campaign or any advertising activity.

The point I think is to get more exposure -> to get more player [or at least maintain current number] -> to get Dev more motivated to continue development and to keep the game alive.

I don't understand your objection to people who honestly enjoy the game trying to make the game more accessible to other. To share the joy and to play with people of diverse background. I mean is there any other reason we are doing this for free?

Granted there are many perspectives on which course of action should be best for the game but I am sure we can reach some kind of agreement somewhere. Worse come to worst, we can always agree to disagree.

Much love. DFTBA

Well we didn't get nominated but OpenRA got a nomination, which is nice.
