From the Depths is a vehicle designing game with a focus on naval combat. It has a fairly steep learning curve but offers tons of custimization which allows for so many interesting designs including ships, helicopters, planes, spacecraft, submarines, hovering fortresses, and structures. It has a large number of in-game tutorials to walk you through the learning process and several single player campaigns. There are hundreds of very impressive ships built into the game for the AI forces in single player. There is also multiplayer but they are mostly private games.

The developer has been very active over the past year, regularly releasing both new content and bug fixing updates.

From the Depths is one of my favorite games. I bought It for 20.00 USD but right now it's on sale for 4.00 USD, 80% off!
I strongly reccommend everyone on Zero-K to consider buying this game while it is still on sale (ONLY 43 hours left from the time of posting this) because if you can conquer the somewhat intimidating learning curve, it will provide hundreds of hours of fun.

No, just an early access game. But it already has tons of content and feels very complete.

When an early access game has a big sale that can mean 2 things: either the development team has no idea how to handle the buisness side of the game or they are starving for money to continue making it. Either situation most often results in abandoning the project and leaving an unfinished product to rot. Yay early access!

That being said the game looks interesting. I will gladly buy it once it will be declared as "finished".

What's so important about a game having the magical tag of being "finished". As it is right now, From the Depths is already one of the best games I've played. Even if developement were to completly stop, I would still continue to play the game as it has tons of content and few bugs, but as I mentioned in the original post, the developer has been very active with updates since I bought the game.

I think there's only a few people making it, but it doesn't seem like they're starving for money. (afaik they don't have ads and stuff so there's not much money going into hiring and ads)
