Bantha ready by 3:18, game over in 4 min after that...

Should have been Battle 373232-373235 I guess, it doesn't show up in battle list.

It does not show up because of desyncs, many players (at least 3) had them.

Just FYI, Bantha rushing only works if your opponent hasn't scouted you very well and isn't raiding very hard. If they have good raider play (which, in fairness, I certainly don't) they'll be able to beat you before you get the Bantha out.

They did scout, did see the bantha, and did raid... perhaps not well enough?

I can't see the replay, but there is not a single thing in the game that can't be answered decisively with less metal. Yes coordination might get you a mega-threat earlier than would ordinarily be possible, but assuming equal skill on the part of opponents there are many available options for counter-play.

Scout and counter and/or disrupt.

Maybe in ridic high numbers where your starting metal is enough to rush super-weapons? We can cross that bridge when we come to it.

I'm not so sure that this applies to a sufficient mass of conservatively applied Funnelweb. Pretty much anything else though I agree.

Big bertha spam with any of the following if need: razor, racketeer, TB, and silo.

While BB costs more than funnel, it's useful when you've only got one. Assuming continued investment from both sides the BB will gradually disallow funnels from leaving base, at which point you've got map control and even a viable threat to their base, while they have a ball only usable in defense if that.

Okay so not decisive in the sense you definitely kill funnels, but in a strategic sense it's a pretty damn hard counter.

BB can kill almost anything (except air) when are in numbers. Detris, funnels, dantes, banthas, kill shields. I see even DRp melted by BB. Awesome building.

Funnelweb is best anyway where there's a lot of cliffs - the same cliffs are likely to create regions where BB cannot hit (like the map from the replay? I guess a BB on the mid back cliff there can still snipe both opposing team's geothermals?).
How good is BB at knocking down terraformed walls?
