Ally chat by default even in 1v1?

When the game starts you get ally chat. I think this is bad for newbs as they might not be aware that a: and green text stands for ally chat. Couldn't it be checked if there are allies on the players side?

True! The default allychat works splendidly (no more telling someone to alt+enter every other game), but this would be a very useful feature.

i've seen it so often that a new player is responding to a msg ingame but doesnt realise it is allychat

That's better than say his unit secrets in normal chat modus.

What is about chicken games?

It would be nice if you can see the text in the lobby too.
