Hi there,

Simple question. How to win 1vs1 against AI?
It's seems I can't win against it. Either AI counter my unit, lack of eceonomy, etc etc (I don't even know where's my fault :( )

Hi,
the main thing to know about AI - it is STUPID. So, it will keep attacking you more or less along the same paths, with minimal variations. If you play on a map with high hills and narrow paths you can easily predict where he will attack. Your units will usually be smart enough to figure out what to do vs AI on their own (AI does not micromanage its units)

Another thing about AI is that it will build metal extractors and power plants very quickly. So, even if your units are very efficient at killing his, you still need to have at least 70% of its economic power to beat it. Building extractors and solar plants will get you there, but you also have to spend the build power somehow. Best way to practice is to start a sandbox game and try to figure out how to build e.g. 100 glaives as fast as possible, and then move up into getting 100 zeuses as fast as possible. Once you know those basic economy tricks you'll be able to sustain the economy on the level sufficient to beat AI.

For inspiration you may watch youtube channel by shadowfury333, he casts some guides and team games.

There are two tutorial videos perfect for you, IDrankSakiyurai. In both these videos different players show and explain how to beat the AI in a 1v1:

1) USranktehbloxxer502's "Zero-k newby expansion tutorial" (part two)
2) NLrank[XIV]Floris' "Economics and CAI, a tutorial."

They are both only a tiny bit outdated, if you try to copy them exactly just keep this in mind: The economy commander used by both players has an energy cell module, which was removed some time ago. All you need to do is build two more Solar collectors than shown in the videos right after placing the factory at the start of the game and you should be fine.

I cast mostly 1v1, which seems far more relevant than team games in this context.

I remember my first games in Zero-k i didnt know how to defend against darts...I needed Stingers+ stardusts and later singu+ ddm's to counter his attacks while on titan duel map

I remember one of my first games vs AI I set out to build a Bertha. Yeah, the description said "don't expect it to win games for you", but pff, what would those puny enemy units be able to do against that mighty cannon?
So I managed to hide in a corner and build a bertha and... Watch it kill stuff. Slowly. Meanwhile the AI swarmed over whatever was left at my start position. Eventually I gave up.

Turned out the people writing descriptions knew their stuff.

You mean my replay? Yeah... I think... Last game I played was vs AI, after train with 2vs1 (companied by AI). After utterly crushed by AI, I get in the state of denial XD

1. expand
2. prefer mobile units over static defences, keep the metal ratio 1/4 or so here
3. raid with light units to kill enemy mexes

The way I have learned this game: I bugged a guy named Skasi who is great a troll but a nice guy inside (just like most trolls here, including myself). i bugged him ALOT and then one day he played like 50 1v1's with me on a tiny map where a game takes like 5-10 min. He gave some small advices every time, nothing special, just basic things. Next day we played like another 50 1v1's and FINALLY I have won one!!!! So, it took just about 100 games vs a MUCH stronger opponent to learn this game. Bugging people blindly on forums is pretty hopeless, but during low times you can often find someone waiting in 1v1 host, they are likely to be happy to train you (at expense of you losing every frikking game - but who cares if you get better?)
