Banned from unlocks

I dont mind being banned, however I do have a few questions

1) How come I wasnt informed?
2) Who applied the ban
3) How to keep moderators who abuse their powers in check -- specifically SirMav

I'm not exactly sure, it says team killing, but again, I'm not 100% sure because

a) i wasn't informed when the ban happened (not even a automated msg)
b) i dont know who applied the ban

so I dont really know why, when, or who....

In thread 1508 "More privileged user needed", Antelope names you as skuttling team bases, which fits right into teamkilling.

If this isn't true, take it up with him (ask him to post the replay he saw it in). I hope the mods at least looked at a few replays before punishing simply from an accusation. Even if the accusation came from another mod, a ban should require some investigation.
(perhaps recruit known well-behaved players? Give him a replay to watch and an accusation to confirm. )

Then again, if you DID skuttle allied bases...


(I had someone detonate a moho geo at around 80% queen anger of a chicken game. And then detonated a singularity, I actually saw that one happen since I have show all commands on at all times.

I don't remember who you are or why you did it. There was no good reason to self-d a singularity that wasn't threatened. It's annoying and stupid to have a game ruined 30 mins in.

I fully support banning such players. And not just from unlocks. )

Much more context is needed though in order to go from that to banning my unlocks until the 31st.....

But I'm not going to argue at all -- I simply wish for future bannings to be a bit clearer... I was very confused when playing and I couldn't build ADV radar... :(

Did you try talking to the !rehoster? Just a simple "please stop that" or anything.

There are two separate bans here.

The unlocks ban was by me, for the teamkilling. princereaper had his comms disabled (and given the insult chicken comm in their place) for the same amount of time, for the !rehosting.

The ban from Springie was by SirMaverick. You started a votekick on princereaper in a later game, while you were spectating. The vote failed, but you started a second one a few minutes later. SirMav told you to stop it, and gave you a 5 minute ban (which didn't remove you from the Spring game instance, and expired by the time said game ended anyway). From fortaleza's post I surmise that you started a THIRD vote in a later game, which earned you the 30 minute ban. If this is the case, then all I can say is: you're a dolt.

As I told princereaper in PM last night, don't drag other people into your grudges - this includes exiting the game, and team skuttling. I expect no further trouble (at least, nothing that requires moderator intervention) from either of you.

Duh! How can you change ban times? I must know!
