can we reduce the claymore randomness at some point? Or just make it slower...............

Claymore is an affront to sea, turning sea into area cloakers and porculon feasts. At least back when scallops were the big thing, games didn't devolve into cloaked artillery festivals.

My feeling has always been that the problem with the Claymore is that it is a high weight riot (HP falls about half way between Mace and Ogre) that moves like a raider. The only other real riot-raiders are the Pyro and Archer, both of which are much squishier. I'd say lose the speed and increase the range and/or projectile speed of the depth charge and have that charge behave more like a Scallop's underwater fire. Even if it moves like a Mace, it will still have the underwater clearance capability and AOE that make it fill a different niche.

I like claymore. It's the perfect tool for someone who doesn't want to deal with sea balance and just blow it all up, including their own army.

what sea ballance? spam sea piliger wait for win,add sirens to make all attempts to kill them futile.
Claymore is like the only unit capable of countering seawolfs/scallops/ducks from hover.But somehow if cloked can decimate anything even sea piliger...

And cloaker

Problem with area cloaker in sea:

no sea flea that's reasonably cheap. Ducks aren't faster than crymores which makes them unused. Since sea riots (IE: claymore) are disproportionately strong/fast compared to land riots, sea devolves into porc (the only thing that can reasonably counter the shitter) which then devolves into artillery spam/cloaked shit.

Every.
Single.
TIME.

Look at this shit:

NameCostSpeed
Duck8084
Dagger80144
Cutter70156
Hunter100126
Claymore33099

Comparison:
NameCostSpeed
Reaver22051
Outlaw25057
Ripper24066
Mace40066
Venom20081
Redback25054
Pyro22090
Ogre52069

Claymore is ridiculous. It's faster than ducks and faster than most riots (even Pyro which is a raider/riot!). It is 22% faster than the fastest nonraider riot and 56% faster than the average land riot (63.429)! What's even more absurd is that it is 50% faster than the other riot in the hover lab.

It would be nice if claymore got a damage nerf or better yet: a redesign. Repeating gauss cannon, remove tracking, or reduce AOE would probably kick it back into line. Perhaps even reduce the speed and cut the range by a bit. Perhaps:
Speed: 99 -> 55-63 (~45% decrease)
Range: 270 -> 250

This would allow ducks to go around it and would expose it to scallop/Buoy fire more.

Area cloaker in sea is ridiculously strong for surface stuff, but has no benefit for amphs (who actually need it in today's team game meta). Imagine playing zk land, and enemy starts doing cloaked roaches. Now imagine trying to counter that with only glaives and bandits. That's the state of zk sea.

Sea porc is very weak and the only reason Urchin even kinda works vs Claymore is that it underkills it by like 2%. But you have mensa halberds to finish the job.

Sea devolves into arty spam because it has an even more accurate version of killager that's accurate enough to hit everything except the lightest raiders (and submerged units) and doesn't need to stop to fire.
