1 I'm saying Athena's rezz is a noobtrap. It's a very good unit otherwise, IMO (scouting, versatile unit choice, sneaky backstabbing). 1 I'm saying Athena's rezz is a noobtrap. It's a very good unit otherwise, IMO (scouting, versatile unit choice, sneaky backstabbing).

6 [quote]It should be obvious to anyone with sense that a 1 mex fusion rush isn't going to make cost, and that athenas don't kill units or make mexes or take territory. 7 That would imply Athena rezz is widely known to be useless. I'd say that people don't generally think that because Comm rezz is often very powerful and they don't expect the only other rezzer to be crappier than the Com. Athena does eventually make cost (even though it does not kill or take territory) because rezzing generates free metal (at energy efficiency comparable to OD) in the form of units, just the ability is slow, fail-prone and generally inferior to reclaim. 7 That would imply Athena rezz is widely known to be useless. 9 I think rez in current implementation is somewhat gimmicky. I'd move the rezzing ability onto some other unit because Athena already does a lot. It seems that rez cannot go to any existing con though because it used to be shuffled around on 3 different ones before ending up on Athena. A strider constructor is something that we don't have so it could be one target, but we probably don't have one for reasons (very kitchensinky). I wouldn't miss it much if it was removed but then we'd have baw sprees again. Of course it could also stay unchanged as a noobtrap if nothing better is devised.
