Keyboard switching from AZERTY to QWERTY randomly

It could happens on any engine version, and often happens only after 15 minutes in game.

Happens for me too, switching from QWERTZ to QWERTY and is super annoying. As a temporary solution press Alt Shift ingame. This is the hotkey to toggle between the two. Sadly I don't know about a permanent solution.

AFAIK it could be shift + ctrl too. Like mine, to swap between QWERTY and QWERTZ

It also happens to me and to @Hower.
I think it is performance related, I get it earlier in laggier games.

Ooooh you're right @Smaggy, it's a windows shortcut! From what I've read in XP/Win8 it appears to be Ctrl+Shift while in Vista/Win7 it's Alt+Shift. Found fixes for different windows versions.


How to permanently fix this:

Windows XP:

Control Panel > Regional and Language Options > Languages > Text services and input languages > Details > Key Settings > Change Key Sequence


Windows Vista, Windows 7:

Windows 8:

Okay thanks guys, I removed the Winshit shortcut. I'll try a heavy chix game to see if it fixed it. But I'm not sure it will work...

I noticed the same thing as BErankFlipstip , it happens earlier in laggy battle... so it's maybe not just shortcut related.

Iirc this is a windows feature that used to drive me nuts as well!

I uninstalled all but one language/keyboard layout.
