Commander Choice, Morphing, and Unlocking

xman15 12 years ago 1. Does the choice of commander make a huge difference in gameplay? 2. If so, I would like to know your opinion on which commander you prefer. I know that this is more of a subjective topic, but I'm just looking for opinions here, seeing as I've noticed other commanders besides the strike commander (my choice), and I've wondered if they did anything. 3. What happened to the commander morphing feature? I kept the unlock system off, but I don't see the option anywhere. Has that been removed, or something? 4. How DOES the unlocking system work? xponen 12 years ago Hello, You can put custom weapons, radar, shield or jammer on your Commander; thus making him a multi-purpose unit. Usually you use it for "Compush" because it has lots of weapons and can build defences very quickly near enemy base. This custom Commander is for online play... Morphing feature only work for custom Commander. You can put "stuff" into the upgrade slot and this "stuff" will be deployed/operational when you morph Commander to the next level. This option is available only after you unlocked (any) Commander chasis from the website... If you play online more: you can unlock more. Each time you have new points the lobby will "Congratulate" you and you can unlock "stuff". You can still play even without the unlocked unit... +0 / -0
Edible[NC] 12 years ago The most popular commanders tend to be jumping shotgun coms, artillery coms, range extended rocket coms, fusions with legs, and nanospam/rez support coms. The choice can do a lot in gameplay, but coms are fairly easy to kill if needbe, so effects are limited. +0 / -0

But on regards to the morphing thing, I'm talking about offline: I remember being able to use up metal and energy to morph my commander into an advanced commander. GoogleFrog 12 years ago If you're offline springie can't send you your commander data. The only offline morphing we had was commander with dgun iirc but that was a while ago. +0 / -0
Lunafox 12 years ago A simmiler question on this line, what happens when a commander is given two basic weapon moduals insted of a basic and a special? Dose the 2nd override the 1st or dose the commander then have the ability to use both in game and if both how effective is the com at useing the two together? +0 / -0
[NC]Gretchen 12 years ago The commander uses both, even if they are the same weapon. 2 beam weapons is 2 beams. The effectiveness of the result varies (situation, reload times, damage per hit, damage per second, range). +0 / -0
