What we need is a cadre of technically competent users (able to understand testing procedure and help narrow down issues) with a wide range of system specs to test with.

Add your system specs like given here and I will add you to that list if u do not have commit access.

I already made a hardware survey page. http://zero-k.info/Forum/Thread/5240. The data is on https://code.google.com/p/zero-k/wiki/Hardware. There should be useful information there. I would be willing to help with testing.

I'd be down for testing stuff if told how and when. Not sure if my PC will help in that (check TheSponge's wiki entry :P), but i can use my laptop (can barely handle 1v1, specs are also in TheSponge's thread).

Count me in.

I'm in for testing. I'm usually available on Saturdays and Sundays.

I'm in with some provisions:
- I run linux64. Unlike every other build type, which is built at each commit, linux 64 is built by spring buildslaves once per day.
- Thus, i can only play at random times, or if nobody commits for a long time, or if i compile source myself.
- Latter allows participation in case of advance planning.
- Available weekends.

When would the testing be? Like others, I could do it on weekends.

As long as engine autodownloads and I dont have to compile it manually. Debian testing 64bit, Nvidia 650ti boost, i5-4670K, 8GB ram. Whatever weekend time.

Laptop: ASPIRE 5560G
CPU: AMD Quad-Core A6-3420M
Video: AMD Radeon HD 6520G + 7670M
Ram: 4GB DDR3
Windows 7

Due to poor-no internet access, I can only test in local.

Anyone have a download link to latest engine build? I've tried building it myself, didn't work out. Can't connect to anything with ZKL (handphone internet), I have to download engine folder and run it through springlobby.

On a side note, anyone interested should probably autojoin the lobby channel #zktest for further coordination, and add it to your nightwatch subscriptions.

Anyone with elevated chanserv privileges could also register it so !topic could be had.

Just bumping this because apparently SDL2 for the latest engine is almost done so some testing for that would be good. As far as I am aware it is not seriously playable because some keypress events do not work. Also we have a faster Chili framework which needs testing for compatibility.

In short there are quite a few graphicsy type improvements which could cause hardware specific problems so a quick closed test by many people would be useful.

Invisible and speed related.

The latest engine prettymuch works for me but some people report problems. It would be good to start this up again because games are definitely playable.
