Why can glaives catch a kodachi?

To be ironic: kodachi is a scout and glaives are raiders :D

Kodachi is not a scout, it's a regenerating hit-and-run raider with limited riot capacity.

If it had capacity to indefinitely kite glaives, imo, that would make it a tad too much.

So we have a factory that can't do anything properly in early game? Tanks are already pretty bad at expanding

Do glaives not die from a napalm bomb to the face?

Yes but taking into account the low accuracy, high reload and the fact that glaives are as fast (or faster) than it, it's pretty easy to kill a kodachi with a few glaives

But a fireball down behind you and run away. He can't run directly after you, because fire. Koda's accuracy was increased, it can prettywell butcher glaives now.

i feel that tank fac is pretty useless without support from lighter facs

tank fac rules clusterfuck games if used competently

also 2 panthers, or 3 kodachi infinetly kite glaives/bandits/scorchers whatnot... cause they stun/kill anything that comes in range while chasing

tank fac is epic even early game... it just has fail pathing

Tank fac fails at very early game... Only good mix is kodach + panther, but on low metal maps, u will have no metal left for e buildings, or anything else.

Also, making alone panther is usless, and panther (300 metal) can be easly killed by 3 glavies (185 metal -.- ), cuz it takes 2 shots to kill a glavie with panther. Not even mentioning bandits.

Never ever noticed that kodachi "sucked" actually I very often rush it as first unit and kill hordes glaives and whatever in early game, unless it was nerfed recently.

Playing tanks in general should be done in the mindset that you should not lose a single unit.

Kodachi is very fast. Only Darts, Fleas, Scrubbers and to some extent Glaives can catch it. With perfect micro and good decision making you should not lose Kodachis to anything but those raiders and/or ticks and roaches. You can always retreat and regenerate health.
Panther can be played in similar ways as it is even faster and got more health. However it doesn't have health generation so every damage it takes is increases the risk of losing it unless you go back and repair. With the stun, fast units have even greater trouble chasing it down or intercepting it as they lose their speed once EMPed. It can however be hard to finish of enemies with a Panther in such situations and damaged Glaives are soon fully healthy Glaives.
Once you field a few kodachis and/or Panthers you should consider making Banishers or Reapers. With some support you can prevent Raiders from chasing down a low health Reaper while the Reaper can run over Ticks and Roaches without much hesitation. Banishers also benefit from support to prevent them being overrun by spam.

Cloaky bots vs tanks seems even more unba if we take into account that glaives can kill kodas for cost
Seriously, 1 shoot miss and glaives will probably kill the koda

3 glaives on a fireball, make cost and a bottle of rum.

kodachi is good enough for its cost, panether is much worse, as I said. 3 glavies can make cost twice, when they face single panther.
We need panther to instantly kill glavie, OR have longer EMP period.

Panther has always been an ill-defined unit - it was originally intended to be a sort of assault-raider like the Ravager, then gradually was converted into a more general-purpose raiding role as the game's heaviest raider.

Koda is good but it's also the most micro-intensive unit in the lab, which is tricky since it's also the smallest unit in the lab.

I would be strongly in favor of a panther reboot, current unit feels rubbish
