PA vs Populus - The Beginning

It had ships where up to 5 units could be behind each other. It had baloons - with these 2 units could fly around the map. Units could sit down, had attack animations, could live in buildings, etc. The shaman unit could cast spells like terra-forming ones or a big dragon. PA's planets aren't a new concept. Another game I've played with planet-like maps is an over-head shooter 'Vangers - One for the road' from the same years. EDIT: thx Vermind, didn't noticed +0 / -0
Kyubey 11 years ago when i initialy saw the idea for PA i was like O.O amazing, it may be the best thing since the invention of boobs! as time went on: O.o wut is dis crap, you is breaking an epic game now its: =.= ahh fuck its starcraft 3 i miss the games from 10+ years ago, the developers had no idea what they were doing, and what was "normal" so the games that came out were developed on the ideology of "would i play this crap myself" now its all "clone the nearest game with 100,000+ sales, and add a gimic with beter graphics" +0 / -0

GoogleFrog 11 years ago It depends on what you do on the planet. Also Populus didn't use a sphere. A sphere is pretty distinct from a flat torus. On a sphere there is a lot less surface area for any given circumference. +0 / -0

Anarchid 11 years ago I played that. It was really boring, and the simultaneous-planets thing was really useless. Of course, it might totally look like PA multiple-planets thing will be just as useless. +0 / -0
