elo is a measure of player win/loss respective to opponent skill used to balance games.
if you think of it as anything else you need to go the fuck outside and get a haircut.
furthermore, if you care so much about it that you need to smurf, that applies double, plus you should also structure your self image around a more rewarding hobby. or at least one you are good at.
