When player upgrade commander to maximum level, he can't do anything with metal (only give to teammate).
I think will be cool if players can buy new units that will move with creps.
For example:
1 - Each wave go only basic creps.
2 - You buy "warrior"
3 - Each wave go basic creps and one warrior.

Units must cost much more.
For example: in normal game warrior cost 220, but in dota it must cost around 1000 (I think more).

With that think need some another changes:
1) Metall limit should be 4000
2) Creps should be weaker
3) Commanders should be stronger

Players buy new creps and in long game creps become real force.

p.s. I think technical part of the that idea no so difficult.

We are already thinking about buy system N0U..so just wait for the dev to figure things out

This is quite similar to my original plan but atm I am busy and have no free time/energy/motivation to do anything with DOTA.
When I have these again then fixing general ZK bugs is my priority, while DOTA has to wait for better times, sorry. :/

Perhaps there is a method to implement metal spending wthout a buy sistem

Would it be possible to have an AI ally for each side (with no commander) that you could donate metal to giving it fuel to upgrade the creeps (in number and/or strenght) ?

note: by strenght I mean different models not the same models with bigger numbers

It won;t be delleted...don't worry.We recently add the dota server.We only need time to improve zero k spring and then dota will be second

My idea for dota is
add some kind of strategic points (say capturable buildings) on all of 3 ways to enemy base.
Capturing such a building will
- make more creeps spawn at your base
or
- make additional creeps spawn at this strategic point
or
- just give some extra resource

when captured building gets surrounded by some turrets , depending on team size

What will it bring:
pushing will become much more important , you cant just sit in spawn area and defend it forever, matches will be faster.

with these ideas it seems this mod is going to feel more like demigod rather than dota, anyone remember demigod around here?


Regarding my previous post:
With the Ai ally thing, once you start excessing all metal would go to the AI automatically right? This would eliminate the need to manually transfer the metal BUT it means the advantage is not gained by killing as many opponents as possible but rather by reclaiming the most metal would this fit the design goals of the mod or should some measures be taken such as making allied wrecks non-reclaimable? (so you would need to kill the enemy AND push to “eat the body” in order to gain an edge thus making long distance sniping a less effective choice)

I start learn spring engine, and it's not so defficult. And I see the zero-k source as example.
And I have many free time. :)

I like how the mode works, but I don't understand how to get metal in this mode.

Actually current zkdota doesn't have reclaim because no units leave wrecks.
