Empire already has a very solid alliance with Machines, which is why Empire is still a force in the galaxy.

They've also allied with Dynasty in the war against cyber which is why they are bombing Gremlinia.

I still don't get why KingRaptor would bomb planet in Empire control. He bombed it while it was in Empire control, not someone elses.

[i]amnot: To clean decay mostly. I believe own influence may be immune. That or by clearing it, the planet will regen influence faster.

The fact that you needed to ask the question is why I'm (well, was) Emperor and you're not.

For context: At the time I did the bombings, Empire had 51% IP on the planet, Cybers had 45% and 16 dropships sitting on it. My aim was to prevent loss of the planet to decay, and to prevent Cybers from instantly retaking the planet in the next battle, by removing their IP on the planet. At least long enough to get the wormhole powered up and bomb Brio.

This move was a massive aid to the war effort against cyber, and was just the break we needed, it allowed us to bomb and then take Brio, and if you guys didn't kick KingRaptor out of the Emperor position we'd the showering you with planets right now.

Now, of course, we don't even know who exactly we'd be giving them to and can't really make any treaties or deals with you until you have another Emperor.

I do not understand. What is so special about being an emperor from a province in the galaxy :P . And your mistake was to take your first planet between two Faction which obviously don't really like the empire, due to the many encounters we had in the past PW sessions.

The respected noblemen of the Dynasty of Earth are officially confused with Empire's political structure and goals.

Conrad, if you take the emperor position, what would be your external policy with respect to Dynasty? The continued diplomatic relations between our two factions have been very successful in the past, and we may wish to continue them.

Well in such case Dynasty has nothing to fear. To complete our transaction, Dynasty wishes to get a list of Heretics and Fools that shall be annihilated by the Empire, so that we can coordinate our military effort for the mutual benefit.
