Dear Zero-K Maintainers

Dear Zero-K Maintainers,

I have played this game on and off since 2014. I am pretty bad at it (and hopefully that will change now that I have realised the importance of playing small games via matchmaking and not just the huge cluster games), but I have always enjoyed it.

To all of those involved in keeping this game alive and strong I want to say:

thank you

for all the hours of time you put into this game. I am sure that I am not alone here.

For example, GoogleFrog: it has dawned on me that upon countless occasions I have logged in and seen one of those interesting posts from you about an engine update, in which you explain the various changes you have made, balancing issues, etc.

And there will be others including Licho and the moderators responsible for keeping this game going too.

Your efforts, and those of the others responsible for keeping this game going, give those of us who play this game a great deal of fun and enjoyment.

Even after 20k+ games I still find a lot of enjoyment in playing, I don't quite play as much as I once used to but still - this game is something truly unique both as a game and as a community. A hidden gem if you might ;)

It tremendously helped me(and still helping) to get through tough parts of my life, to get better at English and constantly practice it while having fun-fun-fun. My definition of fun might be different from what most people here are used to though, for example I heard saying(a lot) that loosing ain't fun, I strongly disagree - everything is fun, be it winning or loosing.

Just emerge yourself in this game, - huge freaking robots(we aren't yet to see for thousands of years) fighting for survival... It's just can't be boring :O Shit is exploding left and right, lobsters are raging and fighting for survival :D

I especially want to say thanks to administrators(even though I sweared countless times at them), this game made me a tiny bit better person I think, nowdays I try to think a little bit more before I say/do something and I think it's due to zk :)
Though I still too much addicted to heckling, just a part of mentality I think... You know, the part when you don't specifically want/wish anything bad but just want to tease a little bit ^_^

It's also extremely impressive that such a great game was developed completely on people enthusiasm, with no/very little payment...
Heck, I'm a software developer myself struggling A LOT with motivation nowdays, it's almost unthinkable to me that such creation as ZK could emerge completely on voluntarily basis!

P.S. even if I just stopped playing ZK and every other game possible I'd still login couple of times a week to say hi and just spec a few games...
I miss some of the vets though, like Klon and [I]burp and Svatopluk :(
