Laggy mouse

I have been looking over what is preventing me from playing faster, and I think mouse movement is one of my bottlenecks.

Basically, when I move my mouse, the cursor does not move until a fraction of a second later (and I have to wait for it to move before clicking or it will click where the mouse was)
Is there anyway to disengage the mouse from the rest of the game? Cursor icon can have the delay, I don't really care. I generally know what I'm about to do anyway.

Would really like to have a mouse as responsive as I have in Windows.

HardwareCursor = 1?

That appears to be broken in my game. It doesn't render the mouse when I click area mex (and some other commands)

Hmm, if I change to Masse cursor set, it works.

Strange that.

this is just a guess, but are the mouse cursor icons all sized po2?

Nope, that's what the problem is.

What do you mean size po2?

Skasi
Did you try non-animated cursors?

Po2 is 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, etc.; sometimes graphics got trouble displaying when their size differs.

By the way, hardwarecursor needs to be enabled by default.

Each of the cursor sets have something missing. Some of them don't even show the base cursor.

Only Masse works for every common command.
