How to raid?

These guys just give me intel on radar dots most of the time since I can't use them for raiding.

Do I merge them with Venom or something?

1. Kill any mexes without llts protecting them using pure flea
2. Kill any raiders trying to defend mexes using venom + flea
3. Kill all remaining mexes (any porc below stardust) using hermits, keep the venoms around for any raiders or gunships.

You have spare APM because you don't have any true raiders to manage. This APM should be spent checking defenses and managing your flea logistics.

Whenever you see undefended mexes, exploit with fleas. Ensure all opposing lines have fleas nearby at all times.

Whenever your fleas are stopped by a small force, send your venom/redback force in an clear it up. This way, even when you lose a few fleas, you likely make it up later. Twenty metal is a small price to pay for the information required to outmaneuver an opponent.

It's very possible to make fleas fire from outside the aoe. It just takes micro.

PLrankFailer this only applies to maximizing your early game attrition. Once you have a little metal to spare just get a hermit: fairly cheap yet much better vs any kind of porc.

Why bother making fleas at all (besides 5 to place on scout spots around ur enmies base)?

My usuall spider tactic is 5 fleas -> [1 cenom + 3 hermits on repeat] + crabe after few v + h cycles. Sometines reckluses depending on amout of hills. I dont bother making tedbacks at all cuz they suck (or i suck at using them). Venom + 2 hermits are much better riots.

You got 5 fleas. That's a warrior's worth of DPS just sitting around.

Just spam like 500 of them and arrange them in a phallus shape

How do you not get outeco'd?
Now Venom+Flea
Btw, your meant to stun, I think, first, then attach fleas with unit AI on to the target, since range of fleas is higher than Venom AOE.

How do i not get outecoed? I rush Venom, do not make aby E at this point, while making 1st Hermit i rush Venom to the most probable early raid patb, micro it as hell to kill all (or most of) the raiders (9/10 cases they will be clustered at this point cuz enemy either doesnt expect ur unit in the middle od the map at this point, or he just gave a move order and is busy erecting windgens), in the meantime I send 1st Hermit to help and start making E, then send all units to more or less middle of the map (or even further) to cap as much land as ppssible and naked expand with com or con, depending on a map. Them I Play WW1, taking land inch by inch.

So your not actually raiding , your expanding faster.

Im doing shallow "raids" with 3, 4 hermits, rarerly supported by Venom. Destroy mex and referat, take as least casulties as ppssible. Thats why i dont like using raiders. I simply hate to losem units. Any units.

Also in teamgame I stick to holding ground, not losing units and developing the economical advantage, while I let my teammate(s) do the raiding.
In 1v1 i prefer jumpies over spiders. Firesprayer and basically all spiders are disabled.

That's not raiding. Knowing this, all one need do is naked expand and you auto-lose. Raiding keeps people honest.

Rules like "don't lose any units" are arbitrary and limit you. Just plan on being in a better position than your opponent, whatever the cost, and you'll be a strictly better player. Not losing units is how porcers die slow.

Ofc I dont just keepbmy units in one spot all the time. I send them here and there destroying some lightly defended mexes. And that doesnt mean loss 100% of the times either. If we both naked expand and I own 51% of the map, statistically Ill win.
And its not "dont losem units at all cost". Its "try not to lose units, and if u have to, make it so u can reclaim IT. And take at least twice as much metal with you"

>Just plan on being in a better position than your opponent, whatever the cost, and you'll be a strictly better player.

Ye, lose 1k to 100 metal so u can cap that "very importnat" mex. Just to lose it 30sec later cuz u wasted too much metal and cant hołd it.

I don't think that qualifies as a "better position".
