I had this idea for quite long time voodoo shaman sounds better. Or god. Necromancer is too common. Also "porcy" with pig icon for most e produced.

I'm against wolas' idea. It just needs an "inefficient" trophy for highest cost/E produced. Anyway, there's been discussions about people not wanting negative awards. I understand them, so maybe we should get an "efficient E producer" trophy instead.

After all, it depends how someone got their E. If it's by windgenfarms on altitudes where they're more efficient than moho geos they deserve an award. If it's by fusionspam on Lost/Folsom/DSD etc then they don't.

edit: Ooh been a bit off topic. Yes we need a ress award. 'Cause there's a capture award too (yuck).

@wolas- "Porcy" stands for "porcupine". Pigs are unrelated, even though it sounds like "porky"...

I second the motion to produce a Necromancer award.

What if you rez 100 units and they all die in a single nuke without dealing a single point of damage. Do you deserve an award for that? You did nothing.

Disclaimer: I feel this way about some existing awards as well, such as terraform and others. Unless the award involves damage I don't consider it a serious award.

Car you have a very black and white view of what is useful in a teamgame. There are a lot of non-damaging actions that are useful and a large number of ways to deal damage in a negatively useful way.

Serious award is an oxymoron.

If your enemy makes dirtbags, instant award for whatever weapon type you're using.

IMO the terraform medal is remarkably easy to get. You pretty much just need a small ramp or something. I'd have thought it would be awarded for walling off bases and such.

The terraform award mainly exists to give people a better idea of the cost of terraform. At the end of the game you can look at the effectiveness of someone's terraform against the cost.

Yeah, it's actually one of the -most useful- awards for that reason, and the only one where i actually check the number (except maybe capture).

Still porcy sounds cool! Or bacon award! Who shared most resources or similar :)
Mhm if there would exist bacon/donor award there should be "vampire" or "black hole" award who got most of resources and didint wasted them :)

And if you excessed metal to void, because no team mates could use it?
That would be really nice on metal maps where you get 2333 per extractor.

It would be cool, if we have early-game awards too.
One Award page for the game after 5 minutes, another award page for the game 15-25 minutes before the end, but after at least 15-25 minutes and a third one for the end of game.

Neonstorm award is given if you are better than average of team by factor X so in speed metal mostly everybody exceeds metal = nobody gets award and such maps as SSM, epic shore and so on are "special" so I dont see problem with that.

There already is a porcy award - Turtle Shell.

Well porcy = most E produced. There is some people who like to spam fusions instead fusions.

Meh I didint sleep much today! it was obvious that second "fusions" should be replaced with "units" trololo.

One has to come up with a metric. Sure, it's arbitrary, but there needs to be some logic involved. Terraforming could help your team, but it's impossible to know if it did or was a waste of resources. On the other hand, the person who dealt the most damage has *very likely* helped his team out in a large way. Yes it's not perfect as Sak pointed out, but it's still the best we've got. Just rezzing units is not that different from building a tank, building a solar panel, terraforming a wall or morphing your comm. It's all potential stuff.

Terraforming a 1000 m cost ramp to invade the enemy base with the teams' big ass army is worth so much more than having dealt 1000000 damage by killing Dirtbags.

It is simply impossible to create a logic behind "what is good", so why not award anything that's a relatively high number as long as it's "positive"? After all, the real semi-perfect "what is good?"/"is that player good?" meter is elo.
