Why would people hate this map? Maybe it's because the cliffs create these chokepoints that can't be worked around unless using spiders, jumpjets, or aircraft? I'd hate to think what people's opinion of Obsidian (my home map) would be like.

Still, well played. This motivates me to consider using commanders as more-or-less early-game mini-striders, which is all the more reason to build metal storage.

Yes! Ban every map thats even remotely dependant on micro! ZK is an economy game, not an RTS so we need more maps like Desert Needle Small.

Maybe introduce weekly map rotation? With this map pool could be even expanded a bit, but focus on ~6 maps weekly (3 in, 3 out per week)? There should be easy way to check what maps are in rotation though :)

we got some names who like this map. What I don't like about this map is you have 4 mexes near to base, 2 of which are like 1.66 metal and 2 of which are like .85 metal. Meanwhile, the walk distance to the other base is like 1.5 minutes for a jack. So have fun building your choice of 2 mexes and a solar or 4 mexes and 2 solars for like 5 metal per second off your investment of like 465 metal. That's payback in like 2.5 to 3 minutes, after which you get to build your brand new combat units. If you're not getting your econ investment killed yet for waiting so long. Also don't talk big econ maps without mentioning my home saphire shores dry where you'll be getting some 100m/s income.
