Oh, and CArankAdminShadowfury333 if you want some lols, watch this game.

It's actually a pretty fun match but this is Godde and I testing 'op archers'. We did do a rematch with Cloakies and he's right, it was kind of hard to counter them without certain factories, which is why they got nerfed (also because they had no synergy). When you do have Halberds it's kind of hilarious how useless archers are though, which is why this game is pretty funny.

Didn't halberds used to get pushed away like dust? Did the impulse nerf mitigate that?

Nope, they're fine, they get pushed away but they take no damage, so it just drains the archers tank.

Hmm, does halberd/crabe armor help against impact damage?

Maybe useful for space insertion then.

Not having played the game I don't have anything to say against the commentary. That's a good sign. Godde may have won that if his commander was not killed at the wrong time.

I think the Halberds were very powerful if only because they require many mobile units to hang around them for many seconds just in case they open. This gives Godde no units free to raid.

The halberds wrecked the archers. They completely drained their tanks. He couldn't use them at all. Even losing that first Halberd was worth that. I'm really not good enough to beat Godde under usual circumstances. Frankly he probably should have left just 1 archer on holdfire and camped me for if i open, but that would take all his focus to not have me snipe a mex and close again.

He'd have been able to open, shoot and instantly close again. Whether or not an archer shoots in that moment doesn't make a difference.

I mean, he was able to "snipe" that mex under archer fire (one of them drained though).
