1
Well, there is a "help and bugs" section of the forum. Presumably that is a valid place to report bugs.
My post was not about having a "help and bug" section. It is about how to use it. 1
Well, there is a "help and bugs" section of the forum. 4 The trick is to tell players HOW to report bugs, what information to give, where to find the logfiles, even simple things like how to share screenshots and using descriptive titles. 4 The trick is to tell players HOW to report bugs, what information to give, where to find the logfiles, even simple things like how to share screenshots and using descriptive titles.
5 For example this thread is titled "Bugs?" which is bad. And that is not fault of players if they make bad bugreports, it is caused by lack of instructions how to make better ones. 5 For example this thread is titled "Bugs?" which is bad. 7
I don't see anybody complaining about complaints here, either.
Well, for example what you did just yesterday. I proposed a better description for a mission. You posted that this is "nitpicking." Some time ago when someone had used multiple reports about bugged installer to investigate it, you posted something about "flaming the devs." Of course that is not just you but that is two examples I still remember right now. 7
I don't see anybody complaining about complaints here, either.
Well, for example what you did just yesterday. 8 The forum-search would be another example, people posting silly workarounds or explaining that the search actually is now working flawless when the last fix had not deployed on server yet. 8 The forum-search would be another example, people posting silly workarounds or explaining that the search actually is now working flawless when the last fix had not deployed on server yet.

10 It is hard enough to get from player-reported-bug to bug-tracker to solution. It does not help if there are overly protective users standing in way and denying flaws. 10 It is hard enough to get from player-reported-bug to bug-tracker to solution. 13 Next step would be to use it better, like using the tagging system to mark bugs as "important" or "minor" or "nice to have." 13 Next step would be to use it better, like using the tagging system to mark bugs as "important" or "minor" or "nice to have."
14 That would help to track status of project so that there would not constantly be wrong assumptions about when the game is "ready." There would also be no need to waste time on writing excel documents or to-di lists in forum, because To-Do is automatically created: Just look at open issues. 14 That would help to track status of project so that there would not constantly be wrong assumptions about when the game is "ready."
