[quote]Long thime ago I have suggested a unit, simmilar to tick, but which isntead explodes in ''Frenzy'' explosion (a bit smaller than Ticks EMP) which would send all affected units into frenzy mode, attacking literally everything that it sees as an ultralight HV troll raider unit, but no1 seemed to bother and to develop the idea. [quote]A capture device with some randomness to it sounds like fun. What about a bomb or a missile that captures a random target (anything, not just units) within a certain radius? That randomness adds quite some challenge. But games can be won or lost by capturing (or failing to capture) an enemy super unit by sheer luck. That's not what you guys play Zero-K for, is it? People
aren't
too
fond
about
sheer
luck.
You
need
something
over
the
top
to
justify
randomness
so
people
will
be
in
sheer
awe
at
the
might
of
the
empire.
Its
a
"competitive"
game
with
people
obsessed
with
competition.
It
wouldn't
add
challenge
it
would
more
of
add
chaos.
Chaos
isn't
a
challenge,
but
ADAPTING
to
chaos
is
a
challenge.
Something
you
can't
control
dictating
your
fate
isn't
exactly
appealing
to
most
folks
here.
But
I
love
the
idea.
I
wanted
to
start
a
project
before
I
left
that
made
zk
nearly
100%
random.
All
units
have
randomly
assigned
health
values,
all
have
randomly
picked
weapons,
and
random
attributes.
Perhaps
a
better
idea
would
be
about
10-20%
randomness,
giving
units
a
defined
counter
structure
but
random
weapons
of
other
units
in
their
classification
and
not
LOL
FIGHTERS
WITH
DGUNS
(
although
that
sounds
like
a
funny
idea)
