Rockos seem to get chewed up by the DDM heatrays even after the main cannon is deactivated, and despite the heatray supposedly having 20 less range. Perhaps that's a good point to introduce artillery?

good tutorial mission.
Although it might be good to tell too in the mission objectives that you can get aroud the DDM's, no need to kill them. That the target is the unpowering of the DDM's.
And there may be some more time required to read the mission obejectives / tips. I got no time reading the text at the dropping of the warriors. Pausing the game or better delay the attack of the raiders a bit.

Great mission!
Though raiders had a bit troubles killing skirmishers. Only one survived and with fight skirms run too far away and into ddm range.

i have my rockos at max range against ddm and it still can shoot my rockos...

Yeah, decent tutorial mission. It sure lets you experiment with things in a more directed context than a sandbox, and in a less brutal context than an MP game.

Suggested improvement: if at first you fail to use the unit reinforcements correctly (i.e. enough of them die and enough the target units are still alive), immediately send more. Gives you time to learn the tactics.
Fortunately you can build more, but it would still be helpful I think.

Overall one trouble I have with Zero-k is that I don't find units easy to recognize from their shape, unlike TA or Supcom. It's an art direction problem I guess, you'd have to focus more on having a few exaggerated details or shapes that are easy to recognize from a top-down view. I actually have to tab out to know what I'm looking at :P, never had to do that in other games.

Lastly for bots the footprint seems to be very small compared to their "shoulders", which when they cluster together after arriving at a destination, only makes the visual problem worse. SupCom had units automatically space out a bit, which helped a lot.

It seems to assume quite a bit of knowledge (such as how to find mex in your construction menu) so hopefully tutorial 1 would cover it. I know nubtron actually highlights the buildings and tabs in the menu that it wants you to make.

it felt polished, and the battle micro was really fun - I dont usually fight shieldbots with cloakies (try the other way around) so it was nice.

I would love more missions like this. If there is some kind of approachable mission editor I would happily waste hours on hours making missions like this.
